The original prototypes demonstrated a compelling workflow. Proteus is the clean reconstruction: visually ambitious, technically modular and explicit about which capabilities are real, predicted, simulated or still absent.
What exists now
A build-tested workbench foundation, shared protein and mutation models, transparent amino-acid calculations, controlled design candidates, validation stages and an evidence ledger.
What remains research
Authentic variant-effect models, real structures, folding, binding, function, toxicity, efficacy and experimental confirmation will only be added with source provenance and appropriate validation.
